Spring Update 3-26-13

With snow on the ground and Easter weekend starting Thursday after school for alot of families, we pushed soccer start date to Monday, April 1st for Field Set up and Tuesday, April 2nd for Equipment Set Up.

Coaches will be contacting players this week with a practice schedule for the start of next week.

Enjoy your Easter weekend and we'll Get Out and Get in the Game starting Monday.

Game schedules will be posted April 1st.

ALL soccer information can be found at www.pierresoccer.com please book mark this site to your favorites for easy asscess.

U8 teams will be up first 3 weeks of games for concession stand duty. Each team will have a designated date and time. Your coaches will let you as soon as the schedules are done.

It takes alot of volunteers doing different jobs at different times with full time work schedules to come together for a successful season.

SPRING SOCCER – Mark Your Calendars

Team Selection Coordinators & Coaches Meeting – March 18th – Meet at GMMS at 7pm in Cafeteria

All Coaches should make plans to attend for Team Updates and Rules Refresher.

  • Spring teams are the same as in the Fall with anyone not returning and filling in with new players.
  • Additional coaches will be needed for new teams.
  • All NEW COACHES this Spring MUST complete DISCLOSURE before practices begin.

Practices Begin – The week of March 25th - Coaches will call/email team members with practice schedules.

Games Begin – U6 April 6th / U8+ April 8th - Game Schedule will be posted on or before Monday, April 1st (no joke)

REF TRAINING – March 23-24; New and Recertification @ St Peter and Paul Classroom (enter off Broadway) (must be 12 years old) Questions: Call Terry at 280-6511

Saturday New and Grade 9 Recerts 9am - 4pm w/lunch provided.

Sunday Recert and Bridge Ups for Grade 7 & 8 - 1pm - 5pm

WHISTLE STOP REF TRAINING – April 6thPlan to train for the whole day.

Location and Times to be announced. (for certified refs)

Spring players will be needed for scrimmages during the day. Watch for an email from your coach to participate.

COACHES TRAINING – April 6th

  • U6/U8 Module – 1pm – 4pm
  • U10/U12 Module – 8am – Noon

Location – Boys and Girls Club
